Planned Parenthood Condom Couture
March 2018

I walked for Carina Lopez in this unconventional materials challenge. Like previous years, designers construct garments out of condoms for the runway. This year they were given decades to base their outfit around. Carina got the 1950s and designed a Bettie Page inspired red and white halter top and a cherry covered blue skirt. The skirt was a tear away revealing condom covered black underwear and garters. Carina really wanted a big shift when I tore the skirt away, from house wife to dominate pin up queen. Our wig was styled by Vanessa Sogan the night before and Vanessa did my makeup as well.

Winter Court: The Nutcracker
November 2017

This fashion show was held at  New Mountain and showcased some of Asheville's most creative designers with a show built around the theme of the Nutcracker. I walked for Amanda Rose as one of her "Winter People" and I got to wear a facecage that was pretty spectacular. Makeup was done by myself.  

Midsummer Night
July 2017

This fashion show was held at New Mountain and featured many of Asheville's most creative fashion and Jewelry designers. The theme was Midsummer Night's Faerie Fashion and I walked for Katdog Couture. My makeup was done by Kay Marie Hill of Color Me Kay. My outfit was part of a 5 piece collection and collaboration with jewelry maker Goddessa Jewels. who created the five elemental crowns. I represented Ether.   

Costume Drama: A Fashion Show
July 2017

Costume Drama is an unconventional materials challenge created by the Asheville Community Theatre, held in the ballroom of the Renaissance Hotel. I walked for Carina Lopez, who entered the "Trashion" category and created this two piece using only networking and phone cables. Vanessa Sogan did an incredible job on my makeup and hair. Since this show is hosted by my organization, I also was responsible for leading the load in and load out.

Planned Parenthood's Condom Couture

This is an unconventional materials challenge to benefit Planned Parenthood of Asheville and raise awareness about sexual health. All of the outfits are constructed using condoms provided by Planned Parenthood. I walked for Carina Lopez, who created an amazing flower child themed shift dress covered in wire framed 3-dimensional condom flowers. In her words, she was inspired at the Women's March to create a 60s girl who can't believe she is still protesting the same shit. My incredible bee-hive hair and makeup was done by Vanessa Sogan. This event really was a blast, we came in 3rd place, and a lot of money was raised for Planned Parenthood.
