Peter and the Starcatcher

We produced this show in partnership with the UNCA drama department and I built this with the students. Their space is an arena with a 16" cement pit. This proved to be an issue as the show is very fast paced and prop heavy, with actors playing many different roles. To keep actors from continually leaving the stage, there were 12 hidden compartments built into the central diamond. There were also two ramps built into the second level to change the look of the stage from act 1 on the ship to act 2 on the island. The rest of the scenery was created by umbrellas, ladders, and a very creative director. The incredible teacher's tail that covered the entire stage was created by our costume designer Carina Lopez.
