A Chorus Line
February 2015
A Chorus Line is an audition for a broadway show, and the stress it puts the singers and dancers under. The stage transitions around those auditioning from a rehearsal stage with a wall of mirrors, to a completely black void as their fears and insecurities are explored, finally to the stage of their broadway show. To do this I created a bank of double sided flats that spun in unison via an offstage control. One side was black, the other stretched and heat shrunk rosco mirror. I also designed a three strand proscenium chase light system that is reusable.
